4CORE's Beyond Solar Tour + Soiree- Save the Date!
Join us for a day of learning about solar and net-zero technologies that can help you reduce energy bills and harmful carbon emissions.
The Beyond Solar Tour will showcase real-life examples of how your neighbors and local businesses harness FREE ENERGY from the sun to generate electricity, warm and cool their homes, heat water, and slash monthly utility bills. You’ll also get a chance to learn about net zero designs and technologies from local experts.
Participants will embark on a self-guided tour of seven featured locations, speaking directly with homeowners, business owners, and installers. From net-zero home designs to large-scale solar installations, the tour showcases sustainable energy solutions in action.
Tour stops include the Smiley Building in Durango, built in 1936, which now powers 95% of its energy usage through solar panels while maintaining its historic charm. Meanwhile, the Sunnyside Community Solar Project is bringing clean energy and demonstrating the power of community solar initiatives.
The after-tour Soirée will take place at the Smiley Building and includes food by Eso Terra Ciderworks, cocktails, and live music from the Family Reunion Band.
A highlight of the evening will be the recognition of local businesses that have earned their Green Business Certification.
Guests can also look forward to a hands-on demonstration from John Armstrong of B1 Energy, showcasing a mobile recycling unit called the “Roadie,” designed to bring zero waste to events and rural communities. For kids, the evening will feature hands-on, interactive activities courtesy of Kiki’s Jamboree.
This event will be fun for all ages!
